Why I built nBases
No platform should tax your rent.
I've been a nomad since 2017. Every time I booked a place for a few months, a platform skimmed around 20% off the top: hundreds of euros a month, for a company I never once spoke to. That never felt like a service to me. It felt like a toll on movement.
And the best mid-term deals were never on the big platforms anyway. They're off-market: with owners, and with the local agents who actually sit on the inventory. So I built nBases to gather them in one place, then get out of the way.
I don't stand between you and your rent, and I don't take a cut of it. You find a place, you get a direct line to whoever's renting it, and you sort the rest yourself, like two adults. Off-market, mid-term, commission-free.
Better for you, the nomad
- Off-market places you won't find on Airbnb.
- The price you see is the real price. No platform markup, no commission.
- A real conversation before you commit to living somewhere for months.
Fair for hosts & agents
- Owner, agent or property manager: if you have real mid-term inventory, you list it, free.
- No commission, no payout hold, no chargebacks. You close and get paid directly.
- You reach nomads who actually stay for months, not weekends.
That's the whole idea. Off-market, direct, mid-term. The way renting a home for a while should have stayed.
